About Tuxedo Junction:
From the traditional sound of the 40's Big Band Swing Era to the more recent influence of Jazz and light Rock, Tuxedo Junction has entertained both young and old with their unique blend of standard charts and custom arrangements. The current members of the band continue the traditions of musical excellence, showmanship, and playfulness that have come to characterize this band of 40+ years.
Members of the sax section: Bob Urbani, alto sax; a 37 year music educator and lawn care specialist...and still lovin' it! Don Smith, tenor sax, vocals and arranger for the band; a U.S. Postal worker...man can he walk! Brad Wilkinson, bari sax; a plumber and dry-waller...why, he even plumbed his own horn! Members of the brass section: Ed Wilkinson, trumpet; best damn dry-waller in the world, Brad's brother, plumber, engineer and connoisseur of fine beers! Dave Danhauser, trumpet; a 28 year music educator for Rochester, Indiana schools, the official food-taster for the band! Tom Gustin, trombone and vocals, Katie's dad, retired 38 year music educator, leader and band arranger! Bob Brown, trombone; director of Emergency Management for Wabash County and outstanding M.C. for the band. Members of the rhythm section: Matthew Muehlhausen, keyboard; Engineer computers and sound, arranger for the band and resident genius! Matt Bolinger, bass; "Honest, they told me this was a rock and roll band..I had to learn a bunch more notes! Eric Rody, drums; Kokomo Schools administrator nominated for accountant of the year! Ryan and Spanky's dad...AND, he can actually read music!
